| Woooo hoooooooo!
Finally....the month of September; my favorite time of year has arrived. What's so great about September? For starters, it's the beginning of our low season and the weather is absolutely gorgeous; our sunniest month of the year. Temperatures average in the low 70's and you can have the local trails and roads all to yourself; providing for the most amazing biking and hiking experiences. In the next few weeks we'll enter the peak of our fall color; bright yellow and gold blazing across the mountainsides. You can blaze across the mountainsides too!

We're celebrating this "sleeper month" with some sweet fall specials, involving road and mountain biking and Nordic hiking (using trekking poles). Mountain and road biking instruction, to help you quickly and safely gain new skills, is available at a special rate: 50% off for valley residents and 30% off for visitors. Hiking and in-line skating is also available at the same special rates. We suggest 2-3 hours to maximize the learning experience and the adventure. All guests will receive an "Appreciation Package" of PowerBar product, including our favorite bars and gels and a new bike bottle. You'll also receive a package of Erik's Organic Chocolate Chip Cookies TM and a LIVESTRONG TM yellow wrist band.
There are some classic Aspen events in September as well. The Vasque Golden Leaf Half Marathon was chosen by Trail Runner Magazine as one of "America's 14 most scenic races". This half marathon traverses from Snowmass Village to the heart of Aspen on mountain trails at the height of the fall color http://www.utemountaineer.com/GoldenLeafdefault.html . I've been fortunate to be hired as the event announcer and am really looking forward to it http://www.sundogathletics.com/Event%20Announcing/index.htm . New this month is the Wapiyapi Classic; a super scenic, fundraising bike ride with Lance Armstrong on the 26th. The ride includes 25 and 50 mile options, which each start and finish at Paepcke Park. Please visit www.WapiyapiClassic.com for more information and to register.
Please call us any time at (970) 925-1069 for further details and reservations. We hope to ride or hike with you in the spectacular fall colors soon.
Enjoy autumn!
